Soft Romantic Island Wedding

A gorgeous private property in the San Juan’s, vintage glassware, and whimsical personal touches make for a beautiful wedding day. This wedding day on Lopez Island in the San Juan’s here in Washington began with a gorgeous ceremony overlooking the water featuring a beach wood arch with soft romantic florals to frame the couple. The colours featuring during the ceremony including natural wood, peaches, sage and greenery, and touches of white. As the ceremony concluded and this sweet couple walked back down the aisle, their guests showered them in flower petals and applause. The couple immediately slipped away for some gorgeous couples portraits over the water on some rocks that reminded us of some scenes from Mamma Mia down on the beaches of Greece.

While the couple was taking photos and having a private moment alone, their guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the shade as they took polaroid photos for the guestbook and enjoyed the couple’s signature cocktails. The couple then joined their guests after a receiving line as guests entered into the reception area, a tented area in a field with Puget Sound in the background. The tent had three floral chandeliers hanging from above and was lined with gorgeous wooden farm tables. The farm tables featured a sage gauze table runner, pieces of eucalytpus, vases of different sizes filled with pink and green flowers and rose gold table numbers.

The design was created by the bride amd had guest experience in mind to create a family feel at every table. The place settings included a white dinner plate with a swirl on the side for added texture, a white salad plate, rose gold flatware to compliment the table centerpieces, clear stemmed water goblets, and beautiful vintage glassware for wine, each unique in either a clear shade or a shade of pink. Dinner was served family style, first beginning with fresh out of the oven bread, then mixed vegetables, meat skewers, and more served on gorgeous stoneware. The tent had a soft glow to it as it was surrounded by cafe lights to create a warm atmosphere. During sunset, the couple snuck off for more gorgeous photos before joining their guests again for toasts, dancing, a champagne tower, and cigars. As the sun finally set over the horizon, glow sticks and a late night food truck became available as an all night dance party went underway. This wedding was a perfect mix of elegance, romance, and fun.
